1 Who is eligible to attend this event?

If:
1.You are looking for employment in the Canadian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry
2. You have previous education and/or experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector of your home country
3. You have received your Confirmation of Permanent Residence from the Canadian government or you have recently landed in Canada with Permanent Resident status
If you fit these criteria, please register for GO Talent’s Online Career Fair!

2For clients who are part of a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), are there any restricitions?

It is important for clients to advise Employers if they are part of a PNP and equally important for an Employer to ask if the client is part of a PNP. Some restrictions may apply, so ensure you communicate what limitations may be.

3The times for the live event are not convenient for me. Can I still participate?

Recruiters and company representatives will be live on March 8th, 2023 from 8 AM ET to 11 AM ET. In order to make the most of this opportunity to speak with companies directly, you should try to log on for as much of the live event as possible. We will be opening the event the week before, in order for you to browse job postings, etc. We also encourage you to make sure your eTalent Canada profile and resume are up-to-date, as well as encourage you to complete ITP and Filtered skills verification, so that your profile looks strong to employers.

5Do I need to download or install anything in order to attend this event?

No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate. You only need to have access to the internet.

6 Should I learn about the Employers before joining the online career fair?

Absolutely! Always do your homework by preparing for the event. Employers will have had the opportunity to review your resume, ITP, and Filtered skills verification challenges in advance of the event. To make this easier for you, we will be opening the doors one week early, in order for you to look at the booths and job postings. Please note there will be no live representatives there until the day of the actual event, March 8th, 2023. And we urge you to attend our information session for candidates about making the most out of our GO Talent Career Fairs!

7How do I log in day of the event?

Your login details will be emailed to you after you complete the registration. You can use these details to access the online event.

8Is a webcam required?

A webcam is not required but it is highly encouraged for attendees to be prepared to video chat with employers if they request one.

9I am an employer looking to have a booth at this event. How can I request one?
